Accessibilities and Accommodations

Mission Statement

The mission of the Accessibilities and Accommodations Committee is to identify any community within the boundaries of Area 41 that is not adequately served by the Area 41 Service structure.

These communities are considered to have "accessibilities and accommodations" issues because of barriers of geography, language, culture, age, physical limitations, or other unusual situations.

This committee is charged with:

  • providing information about the services of Alcholics Anonymous available to these communities.
  • notifying the appropriate Area 41 Standing Committee for follow-up contact.
  • when requested, working with the Area 41 Standing Committees, the local District Committees, and the local A.A. groups in their follow-up work.

Responsibility Statement

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help,
I want the hand of A.A. always to be there.
And for that: I am responsible.

Declaration of Unity

This we owe to A.A.'s future:
To place our common welfare first; To keep our Fellowship united.
For on A.A. Unity depend our lives, And the lives of those to come.
